The Nutrition Class Where It All Began

The idea to create this cookbook was inspired by SARAH Inc.’s inaugural nutrition class with Nourish + Nosh that took place at our Westbrook Day Support Program during the Summer of 2021. We were grateful for the opportunity to partner with The Westbrook Foundation and the Caldwell family to help secure partial funding for this class to take place.

Kara Pachniuk, founder of Nourish + Nosh Nutrition, taught the group of adults a variety of lessons about health, wellness, and nutrition. Her classes covered a range of informational nutritional topics such as: healthy grocery shopping tips, a closer look at the amounts of sugar in popular beverages, the importance of drinking water, the importance of protein, how to incorporate nutrient-dense foods into your meals, and so much more!

In addition, March is National Nutrition Month! All month long, people are encouraged to learn more about incorporating healthy eating habits and physical activity into their daily lives. Celebrate with us by cooking up some healthy and delicious meals from Serve It with SARAH: Healthy Recipes & Tips.
