Essex Savings Bank Community Investment Program
How to vote: If you are a customer of Essex Savings Bank, you are eligible to vote beginning February 1, 2022 up until February 28, 2022. A customer is defined as any person who has a loan, deposit account, or safe deposit box with Essex Savings Bank. Customers may vote electronically by logging onto their Essex Savings Bank online banking account or through the app. Paper ballots are available in each of the Bank’s offices.
What is The Community Investment Program?
Essex Savings Bank’s Community Investment Program began in July 1995. At this time in Connecticut they were the first bank to share profits in this manner to give back to organizations, such as SARAH Inc., that aim to make a positive impact in it’s surrounding communities. Through this program, Essex Savings Bank pledges to donate up to 10% of its after-tax net income to non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations and community development projects operating in the towns of Chester, Deep River, Essex, Lyme, Madison, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, and Westbrook.
We are excited to share that in 2022, we have once again been selected to take part in this incredible opportunity to grow and improve our services. But we need your support to make the most of this voting period! Each Essex Savings Bank customer is allowed to complete one ballot with up to three votes, and the selected organization will receive funds proportional to the number of votes received.

Our SARAH Inc. KIDSTEPS employees are local and familiar with the communities they serve. Our professional teams partner with families to support a child’s daily activities, which often includes accompanying the family in real-life situations taking place in parks, doctor’s office, child care centers, and other community based settings.
You can often find SARAH Inc. staff and individuals out volunteering, interacting, and engaging with their local communities on a weekly basis. Our Adult Services Enrichment programs aim to build social and life skills while focusing on community inclusion. In addition, our Adult Services Employment programs rely in part on our incredible community partners to serve as assessment sites and provide those in our programs with meaningful employment opportunities.
