Linda Vigorito, President
Linda Vigorito returns to the SARAH, Inc. Board of Directors as President. Linda previously served on the SARAH, Inc. Board from 1997 to 2008. She has remained active with SARAH, most recently as the SARAH Foundation Board President. Her son Matt has worked on SARAH, Inc. employment crews and receives residential supports through SARAH Tuxis.
Dan Brill, Vice President
Dan is currently an advisor for H.S. Grace & Co., Inc. which specializes in solving its client’s complex business challenges. He enjoys teaching business at Sacred Heart Academy, and mentoring young men for Dept. of Child and Family Services. He is also a member of the Finance Committee at
Shoreline Unitarian Universalist Society (SUUS) and a member of Midstate Investors. He likes to golf, walk and especially visit his three children and five grandchildren. Before “retiring” in 2012, he was
Joe Norris III, Secretary
Joe was born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area. He graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor’s degree, and completed a Master’s Degree in Public Administration at the Kogod Business College, American University. Joe served more than 32 years at the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. before retiring in 2009. During his 32-year career, he held various leadership positions, most recently as the Deputy Executive Officer of the Environment and Natural Resources Division.
Abby Patrizio, Treasurer
Abby currently works at the Guilford Savings Bank in the audit, compliance and risk area. She is an avid dog lover and is a licensed judge with the American Kennel Club. She has a BS in Early Childhood Education and is a Child Life Specialist.
Joe Guay, Director
Joe is a practicing attorney who specializes in commercial real estate law. He is Real Estate Section Leader and co-chair of the Hospitality, Resort and Timeshare Group, of Holland and Knight’s New York Office. As a member of the firm’s executive management team Joe is responsible for managing and overseeing approximately 220 real estate attorneys and professionals. His work has appeared in numerous publications and he has been the featured speaker at dozens of national conferences.
Laurie-Jean Hannon, Director
Laurie-Jean is currently the Vice President of Sports and Competition for Special Olympics Connecticut and Treasurer for the Town of North Haven. Laurie-Jean has an active history of volunteering in her community: she is currently on the Board of Directors for ARC of Greater New Haven and the chairperson of the Police Pension Board for the town of North Haven. Prior to that she was a volunteer at Dustin’s Place, a member of the Program Committee for the West Haven Community House and a volunteer for North Haven Community Services.
Claudio Denoya, Director
Claudio Denoya is an advocate of people with disabilities and a supporter of nature conservation. He is currently a member of the Old Lyme Land Trust Board of Directors (CT) and is a long-time member and/or supporter of over a dozen humanitarian and conservation organizations. Dr. Denoya holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics, a M.S. in Biochemistry and Microbiology, and a B.S. in Clinical Analysis and Biochemistry from the University of Buenos Aires. He has a storied career both in the United States and internationally that includes five Pfizer Global R&D distinguished awards for his scientific and mentoring contributions and is credited with numerous distinctions, awards, patents, book chapters and journal articles.
Deb Palmer, Director
Deb is an accomplished Senior Executive and Board Member with more than 40 years of success across the legislative and domestic international insurance industries. Throughout her executive career, Deb has held leadership positions at MassMutual Financial Group, PAL Associates, LLC, and Aetna, Inc. She has been responsible for leading the turnaround of strategic people practices for a Fortune 500 Company.
Thanks to her work, that company earned national recognition including ranking as a “Top 50 Company for Diversity” by Diversity, Inc., and a “Top 10 Company for Female Executives” by the National Association of Female Executives.
Deb holds a B.A. in Spanish and Education from Manhattanville College, as well as an M.B.A. in Organizational Effectiveness from the University of Hartford. She has held board positions with various nonprofits and was awarded the Women of Excellence Award as a Corporate Women’s Champion by the National Association of Female Executives.
Fred Brisbois, Director
Fred is retired from a long and distinguished career in the aerospace industry where he developed world class safety programs for military and civil helicopter operations, the helicopter manufacturing industry, nuclear system safety missile programs and the International Helicopter Safety Team. He demonstrated increasing levels of responsibility at the Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation where he worked for almost 40 years.
Fred is a military veteran with twelve years of active duty, twelve years in the Army National Guard and one year of combat to his name. He demonstrated success as an officer and leader in the U.S. Army and is recognized as a civic leader serving in leadership roles on local Government Commissions and Non-Profit organizations.
Fred has served on the SARAH Foundation Board and the SARAH Inc. Board and currently has a daughter who receives services from SARAH Inc.
