What does National Disability Employment Awareness Month mean to you? At SARAH Inc., we believe that together we can achieve more with an inclusive and diverse workforce. During National Disability Employment Awareness month, we celebrate the achievements of those in our Employment Services and across the country. It is also crucial that we remained focused on ensuring that all people have full access to employment and community involvement. SARAH Inc.’s supported workers bring valuable skills and new perspectives to their roles at various companies.
Join us all month long as we commemorate the extensive impact that people with differing abilities have made to America’s workplace. These contributions are particularly significant in our economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. For this reason, the US Department of Labor has named this year’s National Disability Awareness Month theme to be “America’s Recovery: Powered by Inclusion”.

Office of Disability Employment Policy's "NDEAM Virtual Celebration"
US Secretary of Labor, Marty Walsh, and Assistant Secretary of Labor for Disability Employment Policy, Taryn Williams, will be hosting an NDEAM Virtual Celebration on Wednesday, October 20th from 2:00pm – 3:00pm.
This online event will include insightful dialogues and a video showcase highlighting strategies in action for an equitable disability inclusive recovery.
